I managed to get in a short walk at Lysterfield Park yesterday. The weather was nice, albeit quite cool, but there was no rain and I was desperate to get out in some fresh air. I’m missing my daily walks. Anyway, just after I got out of my car in the carpark and started to…

Eastern Yellow Robin
I’ve been taking a break this past week since my daughter’s wedding so haven’t been out every day taking photos. shock, horror! I’ve been enjoying lazy lie-ins (well, 8am or 8.30am is a lie-in for me) and doing stuff around the house – things I’d been meaning to do for a long time. It’s felt…
Out for Breakfast
While I was out walking with my brother-in-law at Lysterfield Lake Park we saw several family groups of Eastern Grey Kangaroos, some with joeys in their pouches. I think it’s cute how the joeys stick their heads out of the pouch to get a feed too 🙂
Swamp Wallaby
Went for a walk with my brother-in-law at Lysterfield Park yesterday. He had been staying with us after our daughter’s wedding for a few days, along with his wife, my husband’s sister. We saw this gorgeous swamp wallaby just off the track we were walking on. After it had determined that we weren’t going to…
Bird photowalk at Lysterfield
I’ve been chatting with some at the Birds in Backyards forum and we decided to start doing photowalks together. As I run a business and need to be in the office during business hours only one person could meet up with me intially and we started lasted Monday. Unfortunately for us, there was a film…
Two views of the jetty
Still at Lysterfield Park on that lovely day.
Lysterfield Lake, looking beautiful
This is a panoramic view from my favourite jetty taken last Thursday which was a beautiful sunny day.
Back at my favourite park
In the middle of what seemed like an early winter we suddenly have had 3 days of beautiful sunshine. I couldn’t go out on Tuesday because of client commitments (meetings) and the same yesterday but today I had all of today in my own office, after being at my weekly BNI meeting. So, I took…
Early morning life at the lake
Just a few more images from my photowalk of Tuesday 27 March. I hope you’ve enjoyed this series. A large male kangaroo – taken earlier in the morning while the light was still low. I had to lighten this shot up so it’s a bit grainy. With this graphic design college you can learn to…
Small Black Cormorants at the lake
We wandered down to the beach once the sun had touched the water and saw a number of small black cormorants down by the boat launch, with many of them drying their wings in the new sunlight. Did you know they have green eyes?
After the mist had risen
Still at Lysterfield Lake Park. After the mist had risen and the sun had added more colour to the scenery we could see activity starting to take place with the birdlife.
Bathed in gold
The building at the dam wall wasn’t the only thing bathed in gold. Below are two photographers as they come up the walk to meet the rest of us and one of the photographers lining up a shot.
