is prominent in our garden at the moment. Here are a some reasons why:

A touch of Autumn
It’s now officially Autumn here, although I’ve seen signs of it coming in some of the plant life since February. Here, in our own garden, one of our Liquidamber trees and the Weeping Oak have begun to show their colours through their leaves. I know it’s only a few weeks before our whole garden puts…
Autumn amongst the green
Saw this Liquidamber leaf on the lawn the other day. It certainly showed up amongst the green on the ground. I love this time of year – fresh with rain, colourful with the Autumn leaves, still warm in the days, cooler at night.
A study of Bella Donna Lilies
Or otherwise known as ‘The Naked Lady’. I assume because of it’s lack of leaves (dressing) when in flower. The leaves are present at other times. These are popping up all over our garden at the moment and are very pretty. They look so delicate too.
The last of the roses
Not many of our roses are flowering now, some but not a lot. I really missed seeing them because of being confined indoors after my accident. I’ve been going around dead-heading them to try and encourage a bit more flowering and this bush obliged.
Signs of Autumn
I’m loving seeing the signs of Autumn on its way. Our Liquidamber trees have leaves with changing colours and I’ve noticed many other different trees in our area with leaves turning mainly yellow, but some with orange as well. Of course, if you weren’t looking for it, you wouldn’t notice as most of the leaves…
Gladiolis in flower
I missed seeing some of the bulbs I’d planted some months ago come out in flower, as I was pretty much stuck inside unless I had assistance from my husband or another person. So I was really glad to find, once I could venture outside, that some of my gladiolis were still flowering. I particularly…
Scotch Thistles
The scotch thistles are out. They are a weed and I need to get rid of them but, as yet, unable to work in the garden. However, they do make for good subject matter when taking photos. And I love their colours when they’re in flower.
Bright Gazanias
I’m now getting back outside into my garden, which is such a blessing. It’s not until you lose the use of something for sometime (in my case a foot and leg) that you don’t realise how much it means to you. So glad to be walking again, even if slowly. Yesterday I enjoyed the afternoon…
Beautiful rose
As I’ve not been out in my garden over the past few weeks I’ve really missed seeing my roses in bloom. I get to see a couple outside my window but that has been it. But last week I was able to be outside for awhile and noticed the beautiful Double Delight in full bloom. …
Large pink flowers
Think these are an azelea but not sure. If you know, please do tell! The flowers look more like a lily but the leaves don’t. Anyway, saw these in a friend’s garden (yes, I need to ask her next time I see her – she’s not online). I loved her garden and would like to…
Photo a day
Fortunately for me, I take more than one photo a day, any time I’m out with my camera. Which was every day till my accident on 12th December. So I’m going to share with you photos I haven’t published here before and hoping that soon I’ll get creative, even in my limited movement for more…
