I was visiting the Coldstream Airstrip recently and got to watch a number of small planes taking off. This was one of them. I liked how the sunrays showed up to the right as well.

Tulip Festival
Of course there weren’t just tulips. There were food and craft stalls, music playing, other flowers open and beautiful gardens to see and enjoy.

Tulip Festival
I don’t know the official names of the tulips, but if you do, please share that in the comments. In the meantime, I’ll let you enjoy their beauty.
Mission Aviation Discovery (M.A.D.) Day II
There were joy flights on the day but the weather delayed some of the flights. Below a helicopter and a fixed wing airplane take passengers up for some fun. Where else would I get the opportunity for some close ups of flights in action? I would love the opportunity to go up in a helicopter…
Mission Aviation Discovery (M.A.D) Day
Last weekend my husband and I assisted our local Christian radio station by helping with their barbeque at the local M.A.D. Day event at Coldstream Airport. I had put us down to assist on this day as I know my husband loves planes. I was hoping to get shots of the aerobatic display but unfortunately…
Ducks at the Arboretum
Neville Arboretum has a lake that you can walk around. I noticed a white duck for the first time – hadn’t seen it there before. It certainly stood out, both in colour and size, being considerably larger than the other ducks there. I believe this is a domestic duck so do not know how it…
Twins baby photoshoot
I was privileged to be allowed to do the official photoshoot for friends of mine recently. Gorgeous babies, born in May so were just 4 weeks old when I took this and many other shots. While I don’t normally do portraits and people shots, I don’t mind doing photos for friends and have also done…
Trestle Bridge, Selby
I pass this bridge every day. I love watching the Puffing Billy train on the bridge, or just walking down below it to watch the bird life and see the creek running.
As the sun rises
We drove home through the country, rather than through Adelaide, and saw fog as the sun was rising. Shortly after it cleared as we neared Palmer and we stopped at a lookout to get this view. It’s a long trip between our home and where we stayed – 870kms and 10.5 hours of driving, but…
Pizza and wine
The flames in the background is my brother-in-laws pizza oven and the wine in front from the winery across the road from their place. It was a lovely evening. The photo is more grainy than I would have liked but was taken in quite bad light and I didn’t want to use a flash to…
Miner's Dwelling
Seen in Burra these are early Miner’s dwellings in one of the main streets of Burra.
