This large grey kangaroo buck had his females close by feeding while he just lay and watched. He was aware of me and looked at me often but wasn’t disturbed enough to get up and move. He was content to let me snap photos of him. P.S. Like these photos? You can purchase a high…

Bird fluttering in tree
Although this photo isn’t sharp, I really like it. I was trying to get shots of birds flitting in a wattle tree but they were moving incredibly quickly and I was unable to get any good shots of them sitting on a branch. So, imagine my surprise, when I got home to load the photos…
Revisting Lysterfield Lake Park
Yesterday I went back to Lysterfield Lake Park for a wander around as my husband went on his regular weekly mountain bike ride. I thought at first I would have to settle for landscape shots (not that that’s a bad thing) but then I chanced upon two small families of kangaroos. So, for the next…

I'm watching you
What are you looking at?
This beautiful lady is in the Wildlife Sanctuary and Eagle Centre in Ketchikan, Alaska. She is injured and unable to fly and so is available for visitors to see close up. I loved watching her and snapped away – got some more to share tomorrow!
Bald Eagle
Here’s another of that beautiful bird in action.

Sulphur Crested Cockatoo

Australian King Parrot
This beautiful bird was on a feeder outside the window of the Kallista Tea rooms when we visited on Mother’s Day.
Flame Robin at Karkarook Park
As I wandered around with camera in hand a couple with 3 dogs came towards me. The lady asked if I was taking pictures of pretty birds and when I said ‘yes’ she pointed back along the path they’d travelled and told me of a bird with a bright red chest and black back. So…
More at Karkarook Park
It was so peaceful and tranquil at the park and only a small number of people there. The birds were gathered in numbers and content.
