Bee and Apple Blossom
We have blossom on our fruit trees now. The plum trees, apple trees and down the road are the cherry blossom blooming. The bees are more evident now and busy all day long.

Bee upon a daisy
Taken on a cold blustery day, the bees didn’t seem to let the weather stop them from their activities. This bee is on a tiny daisy on our lawn – even through the lawns had been mowed only a couple of days before, there were quite a few daisies out on display.

I was pleased with this shot – the bees are out in full force now and are easy prey for a camera, providing you’re willing to follow them around and be patient for the right moment.
Teamwork
I love walking around the garden to see what I can spy. Sometimes I have to race back inside to get my Macro lens – not everything can be caught on my long lens. These two were working on opposite sides of the same flower – a lavender.
Blue banded bee
This bee is interesting to watch. It apparently lives alone. I’ve gotten to know its buzz now from other bees. I wonder if the motor on my autofocus alerts it to my presence or whether its big eyes just takes everything in, even when it’s flitting from flower to flower. Note the pollen on its…
