My ever patient husband rugged up at the beach while he waited for me to take photos of the sunset. We were returning him to the hospital after a short stay at home.
Sunset at Elwood Foreshore
This is taken from Elwood Foreshore (Melbourne) looking across the bay towards Williamstown on the horizon.
A walk along the shore
I love Melbourne’s beaches. There are paths for walkers and cyclists, and others who choose to enjoy the beaches there. At Elwood there’s a separate path for walkers to those on bikes and skateboards.
View of the City from the foreshore
We went for a brief visit to the Elwood Foreshore because it had been a beautiful day and I wanted to capture the sunset. Graham had to be returned to the hospital after a visit home so we thought a quick trip to the beach would be good to do. Very cold but. This is…
Visiting Sherbrooke Forest
If you come to Victoria at all, then I encourage you to visit the Dandenong Ranges. In particular Grant’s Picnic Ground and Sherbrook Forest. Such a lovely place to visit. I feel very blessed that we live only a few mins away from this area. The lyrebirds live in this area and I’ve seen a…
A Winter Sunshine
It’s winter here in Melbourne, Australia and very cold. Some areas not far from us have had snow already and frost. For us it’s just been crisp and cold, but quite clear some days – the blue sky and sunshine have been welcome.
Tiny Brown Thornbill
With my husband due to be back home very soon I feel like I can get back into my photography daily. I’ve missed so many days. I know I take quite a few other days so it’s not like I’m lacking for the number of photos I take. But I do miss being out on…
Oak Tree's last leaves
We still have a few Autumn leaves on display but not many.
Winter flower
While it is winter here we’ve had some amazing sunny cool crisp days. Makes for nice photos. This is a Salvia in full bloom.
Little Robin having a bath
I went in search of the Lyrebird again recently at Grant’s picnic grounds. I could hear it singing and did eventually find it but wasn’t able to get a shot of it – surrounded by bushes and leaves. However I did spy this little Eastern Yellow Robin having a bath in a puddle and it…
Kookaburra in the autumn
This shot I took a couple of weeks ago. I’d never taken a shot with a kookaburra with autumn leaves in the shot before and it appealed to me.
Winter morning at Silvan Dam
Can you see the steam rising from this sign? And in the background that is frost on the lawn. This leaf and surrounding grass had frost on it as did the whole area. And this is one of my favourites for that morning.
