I hope you’ve been enjoying my MTB photos of this past week. I’ve enjoyed going along with my husband to his races as it means a weekend away for me and until this year I spent my time tracking the team laptimes, looking after their food supplies and the tent and first aid kit, and…
Bendigo MTB Endurance Race
I really am enjoying taking action shots at the mountain bike races. I wonder what the riders think seeing themselves in action?
Bendigo MTB Endurance Race
More photos from the race last weekend.
Bendigo MTB Endurance Race
Out on the track. I moved around to get different shots and angles of the riders as they rode past.
Bendigo MTB Endurance Race
On the weekend we stayed in Bendigo, travelling up on Saturday and staying overnight in a small cottage and then leaving early the following morning for the race just out of town. There were a few hundred people there and it didn’t take long for the tent city to grow and take shape. Below: My…
Autumn colours at the garden
This is a Japanese Maple tree and I just loved the contrast of the red leaves against the greenery under the tree. Likewise the orange against the black in the photo below.
Visiting the George Tindale Garden
One weekend we visited the George Tindale Garden in Kallista. The autumn colours were gorgeous and I hope you enjoy these photos of what we saw there.
Autumn pathway
In Kallista there are beautiful gardens to visit. This was in the Gordon Tinsdale Gardens and the whole place was very colourful and beautiful.

Path in Kallista
Graham and I found this path that travelled alongside the Kallista-Emerald Road and we walked along a portion of it. It was quite damp and we walked single-file. You can see in the photo below that the trees were very tall – my husband looks dwarfed amongst them.
Sulphur Crested Cockatoo
We were visiting Grant’s Picnic Ground in Kallista and the bird life there is plentiful. This cockatoo was a real poser and showed me his left and right profiles and looked me full on – till he was tempted with food by a visiting tourist.
Australian King Parrot
This beautiful bird was on a feeder outside the window of the Kallista Tea rooms when we visited on Mother’s Day.
