Ducks, Ducks, Everywhere

Posted on December 15, 2012December 14, 2012

Visiting the Beaconsfield wetlands the other day there were quite a few ducks there, different ones that I was not familiar with.  I’ll post some more tomorrow.  These are Pacific Black Ducks. And yes, it was a gorgeous day. Great lighting and colour.  These birds are mostly brown in colour so I have no idea why they’re called ‘black’.  These ducks are quite common all around Australia and frequently found wherever there are bodies of water.  We’ve even had a couple at the bottom of our driveway in very wet seasons.
