A week ago I went on my own to Emerald Lake Park which is around 15 mins away from our home. The next few days will be images from the park. Below are two views of the bridge over the lake.

William Ricketts Sanctuary

I just love the Australian Gum Trees (eucalypts). They have such character and some stand so tall and straight.

Kathie Thomas has a Diploma in Photography (Professional Photography) and has won many local competitions and awards for her nature photography. She has twice been Commended in Australia Photography’s Nature Photographer of the Year competitions.

While this site is about the Dandenong Ranges and Nature in general, Kathie’s main passion is birds and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with calls, and avoids using flash photography.
