And here’s another shot of what I saw that morning.

Early morning mist at Lysterfield
Went on my weekly walk with friend Ros to Lysterfield Lake Park. When we arrrived I could see mist rising from the lake above the trees. Once we got down to the lake, this is what greeted my eyes.
New Holland Honeyeater
With Spring come the birds again. Many of the birds we’re now seeing disappeared around Winter and now they’re back in our garden.
Mighty Oaks from Little Acorns Grow…
We have a lot of these in our garden and had to pull them up. Sad to do but think 3 mighty oak trees are enough for one garden. If nature had its way there would be over twenty – and that’s in just one season!
Crimson Rosella
Saw this bird while on a photowalk with the club I belong to. There was something of interest in the hole in the tree and it kept sticking its head in.
Teamwork
I love walking around the garden to see what I can spy. Sometimes I have to race back inside to get my Macro lens – not everything can be caught on my long lens. These two were working on opposite sides of the same flower – a lavender.
Good catch!
I was out walking one lunchtime last week and noticed a Kookaburra fly down from a power line and it was jumping and darting amongst the leaves and dirt on the ground. When its head came up I spied a small lizard in its beak.
A bee with pollen
And in this one the pollen collected is a different colour on the bee’s leg.
The bee collecting pollen
And here’s another shot of a bee collecting pollen from a different angle.
Collecting pollen
I’ve had lots of fun following the bees around and watching their activities, sometimes with my long lense and sometimes closer with the macro. Can you see the pollen collected on its back leg?
Another small spider
And I think this one was ready to attack my camera lens. He was living on another white daisy and raised his legs at me.
The spider and the flower
Spring has brought out beautiful colours and displays and the insects are more evident too. This small green spider is living on a white daisy.
