Some interesting duck images I got recently at Birdsland Reserve. I could hear these long before I could see them. Wood ducks all lined up on a dead tree. By the time I got to be closer, only a couple of minutes later, they’d all dropped to the ground. On Golden Pond

Here are just a few more images from the lake last week. I’ve got my eye on you! Duck trails Would love to get a close up of this bird. Maybe one day. It’s a Musk Duck. There are two of them currently at the lake. Hope that means some young ones too!
Time for a feed!
Still with the heron! Here it is fishing for food and I was delighted to watch it. I love the picture of concentration and how it’s focused. Love how clear the reflection is!
White-faced heron at the lake
Here the heron is flying over the reeds at one part of the lake and heading to an area where it will seek food. Coming for a landing. Just look at those wings.
