We had a visit from this bird again the other day. We don’t see it very often and it always announces its presence loudly. So my husband and I looked in the direction of the noise and found it high up in a gum tree in the neighbour’s yard. We could see it from our back verandah. I managed to get a few shots before it took off. Although it was a distance away I still seem to have caught its eye – or perhaps that was an illusion.
