While at the lake on that beautiful Saturday I saw this lone heron skimming the lake before coming in for a landing.

While this site is about the Dandenong Ranges and Nature in general, Kathie’s main passion is birds and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with calls, and avoids using flash photography.
