These birds are so comical in their behaviour. I love watching them. This one was busy checking out all the activity on the ground around it.

Kathie Thomas has a Diploma in Photography (Professional Photography) and has won many local competitions and awards for her nature photography. She has twice been Commended in Australia Photography’s Nature Photographer of the Year competitions.

While this site is about the Dandenong Ranges and Nature in general, Kathie’s main passion is birds and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with calls, and avoids using flash photography.
