Walking with Purpose – what does it mean to you? Had an interesting chat with a friend today, as we walked around Birdsland. She is used to walking faster than I, to help with her fitness, whereas I’m used to walking slower, building up my steps for the day, but also taking in what’s around me.
Both ways of walking are fine, depending on your ‘purpose’ and we had a chat about it.
For me, Walking with Purpose is about seeing what I can see as I move around with my camera, taking in everything my eyes fall upon, that which I can focus on with the camera, and also what I can hear. New things I upload to iNaturalist, then Google whatever it is and learn more about that thing, so I can share it here with you. It helps me to learn more. There are times when I ask God what He wants me to see or hear, and there are other times when I just thank Him for the beautiful nature that surrounds me.
Photography walking gets me focused (pardon the pun) on the moment and what is before me and around me. It’s not only good for me physically, but mentally as well. And I learn lots of things about nature too. What about you?
