There was a family of kookaburras in our park on a windy day during the week and here’s a couple of shots – will share more soon. The title of this post relates to the first photo where the wind was blowing up the feathers on the back of the bird’s head.

Things are looking up
Don’t know what caught their attention but these two both looked up at the same time. Probably a bird flying overhead but I didn’t look up to see. One of the kookaburras seems to have something hanging from its beak – almost looks like a hair or something.

I took my daughter and grandson to Grant’s picnic ground in Kallista. One of my favourite places to go. There’s always lots of birdlife there that’s not afraid of the number of people hanging around. In fact, they expect to be fed! This kookaburra was on a tree close to the deck at the back…

Can you tell they’re one of my favourite birds to shoot? I keep hoping for that ultimate perfect Kookaburra photo. This one was at the train station while I was waiting for my husband’s train to come in.
