The Lake at the Gardens
There were a few photographers around the lake at the gardens and the view was lovely.
View of the ranges from the gardens
This was the view of the Yarra Ranges from the gardens. Graham told me that you could see Donna Buang, Mt St Leonard and other mountains – he’d been reading a plaque at the gardens which I’d missed seeing.
Rich Colours in the Gardens
These images show the variety of colours in the bushes and trees at the gardens. Gorgeous.
Huge trees at the gardens
There were huge trees at the garden and this was just one of them. I missed a shot of a family under the tree but still got some nice shots of the tree. Here two of the photographers on the walk have just passed the tree and give you some idea of the size of…
Colours of Autumn
Almost as soon as we walked into the gardens the signs of Autumn were evident with various bushes and trees displaying their colours magnificently. I don’t know the names of all the plants and trees but will try to mention what I do know or found out. I know these are both maples of some…
Photowalk at Rhododendron Gardens

Our Autumn garden
Some might think it messy and others colourful but our Liquidambers are definitely putting on a show at our home right now.
Mordialloc Marina
Finally it was time for me to head back to my car after witnessing and recording a beautiful sunset. My car was parked near the marina so I grabbed some shots as the light began to fade. There was still a pink tinge in the sky.
After the sunset
There was still colour around and activity, boats coming in for the night, people on the jetty, birds still flying in to roost.
Mordialloc Sunset
More of the sun as it was going down – it really only took a short time, probably a minute or two at most for this last lot to happen.
Mordialloc Sunset
I loved as the sun got lower the colours got richer and deeper.
