This is the closest I’ve gotten to a wren yet. It flew into a tree above my head and naturally my camera was already in my hand ready for action.

There were quite a few of these hanging around and scavenging for food at the sanctuary.  Can you see the drops of water falling from the beak in the first photo?

A pair of kingfishers at Healesville Sanctuary

I paid a visit to Healesville Sanctuary on Saturday afternoon. It was quite cloudy and the lighting not fantastic but still got some good bird shots and of some animals too. The next few days are shots from my visit there. This is a Brolga.
