Been wanting to get a decent photo of these little guys for sometime. They are usually only seen on their own and they’re very shy and usually take off as soon as they see a human. However this guy remained inquisitive enough to allow me to get a couple of shots of him.
The Corella and the Cockatoo
Saw these two recently at a park caring for one another. Thought it really cute. In case you don’t know, the Cockatoo has the sulphur crest, the Corella has the blue eyes and pink mask. They are two different breeds.
Kangaroos at Lysterfield
I’ve begun walking each week with a new friend at Lysterfield Lake Park, in the early morning. The roos are plentiful at that hour and because no-one else is around they haven’t gone off to hide. Here we can see a couple of mums with their joeys. Bathtime On the run
Lysterfield Lake and Weir
Of course the Kangaroos and birds aren’t the only thing you see at the park. There is a lake too. It was early morning and the lake was very still when we were there.
Blue (male) Superb Fairy-Wren
And there were quite a few of these around the park too. They move extremely fast so it’s hard to get a good close clear shot of them. This one will have to do.
