Watching for worms
With all the rain we’ve had, even during what is supposed to be summer, we’ve had the kookaburras in our gum trees waiting and watching for worms, their favourite pasttime.

This grevillea is peaking through our picket fence to the outside world and was covered in raindrops when I saw it recently.

I love seeing the sun enter my front garden through my office windows in the morning. If first peaks through the liquidamber leaves and then through the picket fence and finally on the roses.
Sunrise in Selby
Every morning, as I take my husband to the train station, I eye the potential sunrise and wonder if it’s worth taking more shots. This one was taken down the road from where we live – I knew there was a spot on a hill looking towards the reservoir and other hills.
