Here’s a small selection of houses that have been decorated for Christmas. They’re not the best pics and one of the house has spoiled it by having bins out front (it’s not collection day) but it will give you a bit of an idea of what people do here. We just have a tree blinking…
More of our scrub
I love being down the bottom of our property where you can simply hear the birdlife, rustling of leaves in the breeze, occasional squeak of branches rubbing against each other. Very peaceful.
Boat in the scrub
At the bottom of our property you can look onto the neighbour’s property and there he has a boat that the wrens love to sit on. I’ve seen them but haven’t yet caught them on the camera. However, here’s the boat.
On the verandah
As I wander around our property and take photos Toki, our cat likes to follow me. Here he is on the verandah of our cute little cubby house.
Our surroundings
Thought I’d share some of our surroundings with you. This is down the back of our property.
Bi-plane
This bi-plane was giving joy rides along the coast on the beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Out for a boat ride
There were a number of sea scouts and other groups out for the afternoon when we went for our cruise. This is one small group I believe are sea scouts and they were heading for a boat anchored out in the bay.
Tugs on the bay
A number of tugboats waiting for action. We saw one putting the dredging barge (in previous pic shown here) into position.
Dredging the bay
I got several images of the dredging taking place at the bay.
Derelict warehouse at the bay
There’s something strangely pleasing with this derelict warehouse and the graffiti on it. Thought it worth a picture.
Melbourne Docklands
Wherever you look there are lots of colours and many interesting shaped buildings at the Docklands. And when it’s on a beautiful summer afternoon it seems all the more special.
