I got up early on Sunday morning to head down to Mentone, not far from our home. The annual ‘Around the Bay in a Day’ bike ride was on and I knew that riders had set out from 5.30am in the morning – staggered groups with some leaving at 6.00am and later.
I was down on Beach Road just after 7am, sitting on my small tristool, tripod set up, zoom lens set ready and watching hundreds of riders pass through – mostly in groups, but some individuals too. Colourful lot they were too. The photos for the next few days are from this event. If you would like to see a collection of these photos in one place, click here.
