I often take photos of insects so the uncle of my daughter’s husband passed on a book for me to ID the insects. I’ve often been tagging him at Facebook to help me ID them. But this one I was able to find in the book and learnt that it is called a Crane Fly. It wasn’t the easiest thing to see or focus on and it was only by chance I noticed it on a leaf – it was quite minute.
