The reason for my absence

I’ve missed a couple of days. I had preposted up to that point but didn’t get time to do more posts. Almost two weeks ago my husband had a serious mountain biking accident that required the SES and Ambos to trek a good half kilometre or so into bushland to retrieve him in a stretcher…

Kathie Thomas has a Diploma in Photography (Professional Photography) and has won many local competitions and awards for her nature photography. She has twice been Commended in Australia Photography’s Nature Photographer of the Year competitions.

While this site is about the Dandenong Ranges and Nature in general, Kathie’s main passion is birds and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with calls, and avoids using flash photography.
