Here’s something you don’t see every day. A duck in a tree. It looked very clumsy flying up there and eventually settling. It would seem they actually settle in the trees at night time. This was taken at Lysterfield Lake Park.

Swallow on the lake
This might play with your eyes a bit. It’s a dead tree branch in the water with a swallow sitting on it.

With Spring come the birds again. Many of the birds we’re now seeing disappeared around Winter and now they’re back in our garden.
Crimson Rosella
Saw this bird while on a photowalk with the club I belong to. There was something of interest in the hole in the tree and it kept sticking its head in.

I was out walking one lunchtime last week and noticed a Kookaburra fly down from a power line and it was jumping and darting amongst the leaves and dirt on the ground. When its head came up I spied a small lizard in its beak.
