It’s not very sharp but I caught this by chance. A New Holland Honeyeater flying up to a flower in the Grevillea at the back of our home. Pity I wasn’t much closer but then you can’t have everything! I count myself lucky I got the bird in flight (BIF)!

More of the Eastern Spinebill
I spied it on the Banksia the other day. It was so interested in the Banksia that it didn’t notice me till I got too close – gradually getting closer to this bird.
New Holland Honeyeater
I’m finding as the seasons change, so does some of the birdlife in our garden. The New Holland Honeyeater has made an appearance over the past few weeks and I’m getting closer for better shots. Here it is in a Grevillea in our front garden and a Salvia in the side garden.
The bird catches the worm
Seen in our grounds on the weekend, this Kookaburra eyes a worm from a tree, flies down and grabs it, then swallows it down.
Daily walk
I went out on a walk yesterday but it was bitterly cold and windy and I should have had my beanie and gloves. I did have a warm coat and stuffed my hands in my pockets. Camera was in hand but I didn’t see a lot that was to my liking at that time. But…
