I’ve been very busy since coming back from holidays and when I checked this blog found that something had gone awry with the theme template. Will have to fix it over the weekend. But it won’t stop me from posting as I need to get back into it. Thought I’d share with you this most…

Looking at sunsets
Have had some really beautiful and vibrant sunsets here the past few nights. I’ve had to go to the neighbour’s place as she has a back deck that looks out towards the horizon with far less trees in the way than what we have. Here are just three shots to give you an idea of…
Mordialloc Marina
Finally it was time for me to head back to my car after witnessing and recording a beautiful sunset. My car was parked near the marina so I grabbed some shots as the light began to fade. There was still a pink tinge in the sky.
After the sunset
There was still colour around and activity, boats coming in for the night, people on the jetty, birds still flying in to roost.
Mordialloc Sunset
More of the sun as it was going down – it really only took a short time, probably a minute or two at most for this last lot to happen.
Mordialloc Sunset
I loved as the sun got lower the colours got richer and deeper.
Mordialloc Sunset
More images from the sunset. There were a lot of birds around, it was lovely watching them and they added to the scene.
Mordialloc Sunset
We’ve been getting the most amazing sunsets lately and after a few days I decided I really wanted to get down to a beach to shoot a sunset. After checking the map for nearest beaches and discussion with my husband, I decided to go down to Mordialloc as there is also a marina down there…

We don’t get to see much of the sunsets at home because of all the bushland at the back of our property. When the sun sets southward we just can’t see it at all but on Sunday night Graham came and knocked on the office window and told me I should get outside quickly to…
An evening at Lysterfield Lake
Graham and I went back to the lake one evening a few nights ago, to witness the sunset there. We don’t get to see it where we live, except through trees. I had hoped for something a bit more spectacular but it was a relaxing evening at least – as you’ll see from the pic…
Sunset at Lysterfield
I talked my husband into taking me to Lysterfield Park on Friday evening. I’d been walking a total of two days, with the aid of a crutch, and I was itching to get outside again. He was a bit reluctant but took me anyway, and watched over me very carefully as I made my way…
Sunsets
This is my 1,000th post! Can’t believe it. Seems like I should make a celebration of it. I’ll give away a print to a commentor on this post – so you have to be in it for a chance to win it! So please leave a comment relating to sunsets – and the reason why…
