I attended the Tulip Festival in Silvan, Victoria recently and came across this character. Isn’t he gorgeous?

My husband and I were exploring the area where we are buying our new home and discovered a lake and park we didn’t know existed only 5 mins away. What a bonus! The next few days I’ll share pics from this area.

We were attending a birthday party at Lysterfield Park and this crow was waiting for any tidbits he could get.

Kathie Thomas has a Diploma in Photography (Professional Photography) and has won many local competitions and awards for her nature photography. She has twice been Commended in Australia Photography’s Nature Photographer of the Year competitions.

While this site is about the Dandenong Ranges and Nature in general, Kathie’s main passion is birds and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with calls, and avoids using flash photography.
