At Karkarook Park

A swan I saw nesting a few weeks ago now has its cygnets in the water and is teaching them to seek food. She and her mate were together with their babies when I visited the park this week. Aren’t they gorgeous?

I had an hour to spare on Saturday evening, just before the light faded so spent some time at Karkarook Park, Victoria. The next few days are shots from that park.

Kathie Thomas has a Diploma in Photography (Professional Photography) and has won many local competitions and awards for her nature photography. She has twice been Commended in Australia Photography’s Nature Photographer of the Year competitions.

While this site is about the Dandenong Ranges and Nature in general, Kathie’s main passion is birds and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with calls, and avoids using flash photography.
