Well, I started off with good intentions, with a page specifically showing the birds I had been seeing in 2024. But come August I just didn’t get around to updates. I’d gone away on a holiday for a month to the Flinders Ranges during Aug/Sept and then when we got back home, was busy doing other things and preparing for our next month long holiday, doing the Lap of Tasmania.
I can say I reached the 200+ (214 in fact) I was hoping for, and saw a total of 36 #lifers for the year. Which is great – 36 new species – new to me, that is.
My lifer count now sits at 246 in total, since I began to record more seriously in 2022. Hoping for more in 2025 as more holidays are planned, and trips to various and different places. My favourite spot to visit when home is the Western Treatment Plant and ‘new’ species keep being reported there, so I’ll be heading back down there again soon to see what else I can record for my count.
