A week ago I went on my own to Emerald Lake Park which is around 15 mins away from our home. The next few days will be images from the park. Below are two views of the bridge over the lake.

Masked Lapwing Plover
Did you miss my photos? We got speed limited and had to wait for the end of the ‘month’ to change to a new plan. So we’re back to full speed internet again now. Very painful trying to view websites, let alone upload or view images so I just had to wait. Below is a…
Australian bushland
This is the view across the road from Grant’s Picnic Grounds in Kallista, Victoria. The sun was just catching some of the trees. I love the Australian bushland.
Liquidamber in the Winter
This tree is outside my office window and one day last week we actually had some blue sky. A hint of the Spring just around the corner.
Eastern Spinebill in the Camelia bush
Our Camelias are out in full bloom and the Eastern Spinebills love them.
Blackbird in the garden
The Blackbirds are hard to get. Any sign of movement a distance away and they hide away under bushes or fly into trees. This one was in the garden outside my office window and I was able to move the net curtain aside very slowly to poke my camera lens through to take these pictures. …
Toki in the garden
I think Toki is a lovely study when he doesn’t realise I’m watching him. He often follows me around in the garden as I move around with my camera.
Curious parrot
I was watching two Australian King Parrots in my garden and kept a distance so I wouldn’t scare them away. Managed to get a few shots and moved in a bit closer at each click. The male had noticed me and then took off and I thought that was that. Imagine my surprise when he…
Winter blooms
We have a number of flowers out now for winter and one of those is the Grevillea. We’ve got a few grevilleas and this is the larger one. The Eastern Spinebills and Wattle Birds which I’ve posted at other times really love this flower.
Rain Chain
Not long after we bought our new home, but before we shifted in, my youngest daughter and I were visiting outside looking longingly at the house and talking about when my husband and I would shift in. She noticed a thick chain hanging down from the corner of the verandah roof and mentioned it to…
Also at Grant's
This Crimson Rosella was interested in what I might have for awhile but then decided the wooden post he was sitting on held more interest. One thing I need to do is find out how not to have the reds blowout so much. I’d like it to look much sharper.
More kookaburras
One fella had a bit to say, the others were content to keep their eye out for worms or other delectable items of interest while I photographed them.
