It might be winter but there are still interesting things to see on display in the gardens.
I never found out what these are:
This is holly. I’m told that it’s a weed or pest in this area but I’d not seen it before and thought it looked lovely. It’s something often seen on Christmas Cards for the northern hemisphere but, here in Australia, it produces berries in the middle of the year, when our winter is on.
And this is a flowering apricot. It’s a lovely ornamental that flowers in winter. Isn’t it gorgeous?
