This poor heron was being harrassed by noisy minor birds when I visited Lysterfield Lake just recently. Note the minor with its beak open in the first shot – it was really telling the heron off. In the second shot there are two more noisy miners squabbling in the air just above the crouching heron.
The heron took off shortly after with all three noisy miners following it in hot pursuit, still making a lot of noise.
