Been trying to get one of these guys close up for well over a year now and I finally nailed it. In my neighbour’s grounds there are many plants that the Eastern Spinebill loves and I’m able to move amongst the bushes without making too much noise and without being too disruptive to the bird life around me. However, this little guy did see me and posed – I got several shots before he moved off.
