Playtime in the paddock

The sun was out today for awhile. It was very cold and windy so I rugged up warm before venturing out. I needed to check the sheep’s water and after filling it up, went for a walk in the paddock below the sheep’s pen. The girls (mum and lamb) decided to follow me. The grass has been slower growing in the winter so we’ve had to supplement them with hay. They’re starting to realise that we might have goodies for them so they like to watch us. Anyway, they followed me quite closely behind and when I turned around to point my camera at them, they started to play games. Never seen them do that before. Thought it was real cute. This is a collage of photos I took while watching them play.

Our new sheep…

have now got names. Molly (mum) and Bella (bub) are their names and they are now letting us get a bit closer to them. I visit them almost daily, as does my husband, and they don’t back off now, but come closer to the fence. Below are some much better shots of them now I can get closer for a good view.
