Wattle trees in blossom

Posted on August 20, 2012August 19, 2012

I went back to my favourite park recently. We’ve had lots of rain this winter. The mountain bike tracks have been closed for at least a couple of months which is a measure of how wet it’s been.  I go for walks on the lower tracks but haven’t ventured up the hills. Going up means coming down again and I don’t feel confident on downward wet slopes as yet.  These wattle trees are along the shore of the lake at Lysterfield and in full bloom. I think they’re both different types of wattle trees, there are varying shades of yellow in the trees where we live and some are bushy, and some grow tall as trees.
