Superior Fairy-wrens

Posted on July 17, 2012July 15, 2012

Yesterday I was commenting on our Camelia bushes. Well, on Sunday just past, I was looking out our kitchen window at the large bush there, and saw a couple of Fairy-wrens playing in the bush. Then I noticed their children were on the ground. Mum and dad had brought them out to play in the winter sunshine. I wasn’t able to get a shot of them all but here’s dad with his bright blue plumage and one of the youngsters in the bush.

So pretty! Love that blue color, on the bird’s head! I looked up this pretty bird, and of course the blue is for the male! The female is brown. LOL
